Denmark based Tecology is pioneering biodiversity monitoring through automated AI-driven monitoring stations, focusing on tracking the activity and diversity of insects and birds.
The startups is leveraging camera technology to track insect populations and activities. Through their product, the startup is unlocking access to previously inaccessible data in this field, providing solutions that track the populations and activities of insects and birds.
This data is fed into a large detection and classification model to provide information on insect populations, species and behaviour. Their monitoring stations process vast amounts of visual and acoustic data to extract meaningful ecological insights, transforming raw sensor data into actionable information for biodiversity management and conservation.
Using Northern Data Group’s compute power as part of the AI Accelerator, Tecology aims to refine its system and improve the sophistication of its product so that it can expand the pool of species it can identify and enhance the capabilities of its biodiversity monitoring systems, sifting through images and data faster. This will allow them to broaden their product offering, delivering more robust and accurate monitoring solutions.
